Design conditions

Design conditions are the most important information supplied to the project in order to proceed with specification of equipment and systems. Variation in design conditions originate severe interface problems that very often make unusable the equipment purchased.

Simulation

To verify the suitability of the design it is required to simulate its operating conditions to resemble those that will be encountered during normal  or abnormal operation. Digital simulation allows the engineer to recreate conditions that would be very difficult to study using a physical model.

Specifications

Specification sheets are key documents to purchase the material and equipment required to implement the project design. Generation of specification sheets is very sensitive to proper knowledge of design conditions.

Calculation

For the proper sizing of process, mechanical, instruments and electrical systems, calculations have to be done following accepted procedures. Some times the calculation methods are not readily available or specific operating conditions prevent the use of accepted procedures.
